Release notes

What is new in ShipStamp. Coming soon to Windows — join the waitlist for launch access.

v2.0.7
  • ImprovedWhen you add a text element to a courier template it now appears at the top-left of the label and is selected automatically, with each new element offset slightly so they no longer stack on top of one another.
  • FixedLabels now print back-to-back again with no pause between them. A delay that had been added while chasing a blank-label issue has been removed, since the blank labels turned out to be a label-size mismatch rather than a timing problem.
  • NewMerge courier variants — combine two variants of the same courier into one using the merge button in the courier list. Labels assigned to the old variant are automatically reassigned.
  • ImprovedImport and export now show a success or error notice inline, so you know whether the file was saved or loaded correctly.
  • FixedCompleting the onboarding tour now reliably marks it as seen, even on fast machines where the page navigation beat the settings write.
  • NewHelp & About section in Settings — replay the tutorial, open the release notes and legal docs, and see your current app version, all in one place.
  • ImprovedPrint quality (DPI) setting moved to Printers & Profiles and now takes effect immediately without a restart.
  • FixedSkipping or closing the Courier Templates tour no longer permanently dismisses it — it will reappear next time you open the page until you complete it.
  • ImprovedSkipping the tutorial now asks you to confirm first, so you do not lose your place by accident.
  • FixedApp icon now displays correctly across the Windows Start menu, taskbar, and in-app sidebar — the box logo renders on a transparent background instead of a white square.
v2.0.6
  • NewItem name word count — limit how many words of the item name appear on a label template using a new slider in the template editor.
  • NewSeller display option — choose whether the seller field on a label shows your account nickname or your email address.
  • NewDelete key on canvas — press Delete or Backspace to remove the selected text element without opening a menu.
  • ImprovedGmail sign-in now uses the WynBrothers Google OAuth client and opens in your system browser before returning to ShipStamp through a secure local callback.
  • NewGeneric A4 printer support: choose a default print layout in Label Configuration or onboarding, including 100 x 150mm direct labels plus 2 x 2 and 2 x 3 A4 sheets.
  • FixedMicrosoft Store package tiles now use ShipStamp-branded assets, including transparent Windows Search and Start icon variants instead of default AppX placeholders.
  • ImprovedSelecting a different courier variant now clears any active canvas selection, preventing stale element highlights.
  • ImprovedAccount list in the label editor refreshes automatically when account details (such as nickname) change in Settings.
  • FixedQR code labels no longer appear distorted or scrambled in the print preview or on printed output. Labels now render at their correct aspect ratio in the Shipping Labels tab, A4 sheet preview, and when printing.
  • NewImport and export courier templates — back up your label layouts or share them between machines using the Import / Export All buttons in the Courier Templates toolbar.
  • ImprovedRotation buttons moved into the canvas bottom toolbar so they are always within reach without opening the sidebar.
  • FixedCourier template editor toolbar no longer clips off-screen on smaller laptop displays (1366 px wide). Labels collapse to icon-only automatically when space is tight.
  • FixedText overlay elements (seller name, item name, etc.) now appear correctly on A4 sheet prints — they were being silently dropped from the sheet print path.
  • FixedThin letter rendering in printed output improved — characters such as lowercase l no longer disappear as hairline strokes at small font sizes.
  • FixedSeller field now falls back to your account email when no nickname is set, instead of showing "Unknown". The nickname-vs-email display preference is now respected consistently across the label preview, print preview, and printed output.
  • FixedShipStamp no longer crashes if a previously downloaded shipping label PDF is missing from disk — it silently re-fetches the file instead.
v2.0.5
  • NewCrop and resize tool — save a crop rectangle per courier variant to trim awkward PDFs (e.g. InPost A4 rotated labels) without touching the original file.
  • ImprovedCourier template editor is now gate-based rather than fingerprint-based, making variant clustering more reliable across label updates.
  • FixedOrientation detection no longer mis-classifies portrait labels as landscape when the PDF viewBox has non-square aspect ratios.
